6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Internet Safety focus of February Families Talking Program
Want some information on keeping your family healthy and safe, a warm dinner, and a chance at a door prize? Join the Neptune Municipal Alliance to Prevent Alcoholism and Drug Abuse on Wednesday, February 24th, 6-8pm, at the Neptune Early Childhood Center for this month's Families Talking workshop. Entitled "Internet Safety: Help Keep Your Child Safe While on the Internet," this workshop will shed light on things to watch out for and current trends that are important for the entire family to know about.
Bring the whole family out for an informative evening-dinner, open gym for basketball, and childcare are all provided free of charge as part of the program. The presenter will be a Detective Michael McGhee from the Neptune Township Police Department.
Dinner will be served at 6pm, followed by the workshop and time for follow up discussion. On site childcare will also be provided, in a room full of toys and games; and the gym will be open, so bring your basketball or jump rope.
The Neptune Municipal Alliance to Prevent Alcoholism and Drug Abuse is offering this program as part of a series of nine family-oriented workshops throughout 2010. These workshop topics include: Making, Breaking, & Revising Rules, Trends in Substance Abuse, Why Play & Nature Matter in Raising a Healthy Child, Understanding Teen Attitudes, 10 Steps to Keeping Your Kids Drug Free, Managing Your Child's Anger, Safe Dating Tips and Boundaries for Parents & Teens, and DWI's.
