This month's Smile of the Month is

Anna Whiteanna white

This month our "Smile of the Month" goes to Anna White.

Anna enjoys attending many activities and programs at the center. She is pictured here taking advantage of a fun summer day at the Center's "Birthday Beach Party" on August 6.

While at the party Anna enjoyed the sounds of DJ Dennis Carmella, a "beach lunch" and a chance to socialize with the many friends she has made at the center.

She is a special part of our Senior Center family and brightens everyone's day with her award winning smile.

Celebration of Life

louise beverlyIt was a celebration of life for Augusta L. Beverly on Friday, July 23. Over 150 family members, friends, and state, county and local elected officials gathered to celebrate Augusta L. Beverly's 100th birthday and to honor all of her achievements throughout her life. The centennial birthday celebration for Gussie Louise as she is affectionately known was complete with lunch, a birthday cake, gifts, flowers and entertainment performed by Algia.

Louise was born on July 25, 1910, in Jersey City, New Jersey. Her biography is extensive and impressive. She was an orphan who endured much during her younger years and who later in life, went on to become a "Rosie the Riveter" in 1942. Mrs. Beverly has resided in Neptune Township since 1982 and has been a very active participant at Neptune Senior Center for many years.  Louise loves attending Ceramics classes regularly. She especially enjoys the Forever Young Club and the Neptune Senior Club. She is very proud of her family, her life, and her ability to enjoy life at the young age of 100.

Assemblyman David Rible and Assemblywoman Mary Pat Angelini presented a resolution to Louise in honor of her lifetime achievements and continued dedication to our community.
