Rachel's Challenge is a program that aims to empower students to create a positive school culture and it was presented at NHS on November 14th. The program is named in memory of Rachel Joy Scott, the first victim of the Columbine HS shootings. The mission of Rachel's Challenge is to create a safe learning environment for all students by re-establishing civility and delivering proactive antidotes to school violence and bullying. RC was held in the afternoon for students and in the evening for parents and community members. Kara Granelli read her poem and the Mayor's Youth Advisory Cabinet presented an Anti-Bullying proclamation to Ms. Bertha Williams-Pullen.
