Carbbean Festival hosted by Living Word Christian Fellowship North and South
There was plenty of food at the Caribbean Festival Saturday, August 3rd! Forced inside by the rain, the church celebrated the cultural diversity found in Neptune and the neighboring communities. Among the many dishes were Haitian black rice, Jamaican oxtail, jerk chicken, jerk pork, stringbeans with smoked turkey, Jamaican escovitch (fish), fried chicken, mac and cheese, homemade ginger drink and Jamaican black cake. Pastor Cedric Miller welcomed Mayor Eric Houghtaling, Deputy Mayor Dr. Michael Brantley and Twp Committeemen Randy Bishop and Kevin McMillan who joined in the festivities. Neptune’s Vital Statistics Registrar, Hugh Hinds, served as Master of Ceremonies.
