April 9th, 2010- Did you know that the Girls Varsity Basketball team was crowned Shore Conference Champions, Group III Champions, and State Champions? The Girls will be honored by the County Freeholders in April. Did you know the Girls Basketball Team also helped raise $1400 for Breast Cancer research?
- Did you know that Scott Emerson, Jamal Hubbard, Windell Rainey, Wayne Calderon, KarlDavid Steward-Chance, Jaylen Harley, Frank Martuscelli, David Foster, and Warren Mello were selected to the 2009 Academic All-Shore Football Team? Frank Martuscelli also received the Lombardi Award at the annual Coaches Dinner at the Ocean Sheraton on March 25, 2010.
- Did you know that Sasha Collazo and Rokayla Reed attended the FFA Advocacy and Leadership Event in Trenton, NJ on February 25, 2010?
- Did you know that MaryAlice Crelin, Nikko Espina, Malcolm Jones, Morgan Magill, Shae Moorer, and Erin Pasko are earning college credits at Brookdale Community College through the Monmouth County Arts High School?

- Did you know that Shakena Richardson was selected as the 2009-2010 Kerwin Award recipient? The award is given annually to the female basketball player that is considered the best in the Shore Conference.

- Did you know that Tanazia Braxton earned a full scholarship to Temple University? The scholarship is worth over $72,000.
- Did you know that Dan Staples is the first 100 win wrestler in the forty-eight (48) year history of Neptune High School Wrestling?

- Did you know that Gregg Benjamin and CDR Atkins were awarded the Spirit of the Community award by the Neptune High School Student Council?
- Did you know that Ashley Zawistowski, PJ Ryan, Ayanna Adams, Nick Larosa, and Didi Navarro came in 3rd Place in the Annual Consumer Bowl competition sponsored by the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs?
- Did you know that Matt Edwards won the NJROTC "knock out" competition in Triells, New York while competing at a drill meet at North Rockland High School? The competition began with approximately 400 cadets on the gym floor and ended with two cadets and twelve Marine judges on the floor watching their every move. In the end, Neptune cadet Mathew Edwards was named the winner.
- Did you know that Erin Pasko entered a very difficult and highly regarded dance competition called "American Dance Awards" and received the prestigious "Outstanding Young Choreographer" award? There were over 500 entries in the competition and her choreographed dance took a 2nd place.
- Did you know that Ashley Zawistowski was accepted into the College of Engineering at the University of Delaware?
- Did you know that Mark Morris was accepted into Pace University and was awarded a scholarship in the amount of $48,000?
- Did you know that Olu Coker applied to be part of a Summer Academy for Students who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing? This program is highly competitive and only ten applicants are chosen per year. Olu was selected as one of the top ten. He will be traveling to Seattle, Washington to participate in this academy from June 17, 2010- August 21, 2010 (all expenses paid). He will take a computer programming course for college credit, and a certificated class in animation.
- Christopher Faber signed a letter of intent to attend Felician College where he'll play baseball for the Golden Falcons. Chris will receive a total $72,000 in scholarships; $16,000 over four years for baseball, and $56,000 over four years for academics.
- Did you know that Kara Granelli, Jahleel Marshal, Sean Ferguson, Shae Moorer, Malcolm Jones, Bridget Lysaght, were invited to perform at the "Evening of Arts" festival for the Monmouth County Arts HS?
- Did you know that the Peer Leadership Council hosted students from Marlboro HS at the annual "School Swap" event? The Peer leaders will be invited to attend the Marlboro HS "School Swap" during the coming weeks.
- Did you know that Julie Enriquez was accepted to Rutgers University?
- Did you know that Dylan Muller's films of the Neptune Aquatic Center Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, and the ASU Talent Show, will be featured on MSGvarsity? Her film of the Marching Band performing at the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade will also be featured in the coming months.
- Did you know that the students from the African Student Union sponsored the annual ASU Talent Show and collected over $1000 to help with relief efforts in Haiti? The money was raised in the name of Daphanee Ganthier, a NHS student who passed away this year.
- Did you know that Gregg Benjamin was accepted to Monmouth University and earned a scholarship grant in the amount of $40,000?
