News

For the past several hours, radar returns have been unable to advance further westward than Route 9.  So while, areas at the Jersey Shore have been snowing and accumulating during this time period, areas away from the Shore are still waiting.  Even at the Shore, the radar returns are having a difficult time maintaining there intensity.

The Governor has issued Executive Order #172 declaring a State of Emergency, imposing a mandatory travel restriction against the operation of vehicles in the State of New Jersey. All vehicles within the State.

This is a message from the Neptune Township Office of Emergency Management. A Blizzard Warning is in effect for our area. Snow Emergency Parking rules are in effect. There is to be no parking in area which are posted, or on the North and West sides of all other streets throughout the Township.

There will be no garbage or recycling pick up tomorrow or Wednesday.

Residents are strongly urged to stay off the roadways.

The American Red Cross is in communications across all impacted areas with government partners and is prepared to respond as requested.  As with any disaster, preparation can be the difference between life and death. The Red Cross is urging residents to be prepared—not only for the snow, but for cold temperatures and possible power outages. Additionally, extreme weather increases the risk of home fires. Below are some resources to help residents stay safe.
